I honestly believe Cass Review and resulting policies will end up biggest bias-motivated medical "scandals" in modern times and eventually shown, beyond doubt, to be among most blatantly biased political hitjobs intended to manipulate sci/med standards for desired outcome in gens. they deserve jail

imo absolutely *CAN'T* overstate level of double standard here. GAC has among highest success rates of any treatment for anything (if goal is improve quality of life etc). Nothing else would be "banned" with even close to same amt of same quality data supportive (esp given ethical/practical limits)

While I agree in sentiment, I hesitate to call it "Affirmative Action for conservatives" as "AA" specifically worked to ensure equal opportunity and equally/overqualified minorities/women weren't overlooked to favor underqualified whites/men. Trump/RW Anti-DEI/woke initiative seeks literal opposite

I agree..I go back to some stats showing like 70% who support anti-trans laws know NO trans people. I fully agree..sorry, I guess my point there was Canada hasn't yet seen quite such ideological institutional capture in all aspects from gov to media as UK, and will be much harder, or at least take longer time, to do so. I would still consider Canada among safer nations to move to if a trans person

I get sentiment, but also really does seem case nations like Canada/Australia etc are far more willing to actually sacrifice to stand up for stated/committed principles than USA/UK, which is truly at a level of extremes it is approaching literal definitions of persecution/attempted cultural genocide
