The merch bonanza is still unhinged but it def seems tamer than before. I think it’s because there isn’t a huge song they can play for us every 30 seconds

love your work mrs theranos but how do you walk into this

OBS and Screen Studio have both been fine for me for hour plus records — Screenflow too. But if this is a real concern, maybe look into an external recording device. Ecamm Live might work too.

No they said “We created the App Store to be a safe and trusted place to discover apps,” Apple said in a statement to Business Insider. “Based on information we’ve received from law enforcement about the safety risks associated with ICEBlock, we have removed it and similar apps from the App Store.”
filmgirl.bsky.social
And since that is so clearly the case (because this isn’t about illegal or illegal, it’s about bowing to government pressure one way or another), you don’t get to pretend to take a high road on any moral or ethical arguments about App Store practices or pretend you stand up to governments.
filmgirl.bsky.social
Oh that’s absolutely the rationale. But then cite the real reason you remove or won’t remove, which is “we do what governments tell us to do.”
filmgirl.bsky.social
Kinda wild Apple will kick ICEBlock out of the App Store on safety grounds but the Saudi government app that lets men track women (their “property”) and control their travel is fully allowed even after the Human Rights Watch AND members of the Senate begged them to ban it.

New article from The Free Press

My Favorite Actress Is Not Human

“Not everyone is happy about this gorgeous innovation,” writes Tyler Cowen.

Tilly Norwood doesn’t need a hairstylist, has no regrettable posts, and if you wish to see a virgin on-screen, this is one of your better chances. That’s because she’s AI.

I don’t disagree! Just pointing out options!

The MSA scripts on GitHub work extremely well. Just saying.

That’s must not true. There were good ideas but they weren’t fully formed at all. The fact that Windows RT wasn’t fully Metro proves that. But there is another difference: if Apple had done it, all the app developers would’ve adopted the new design language and actually built apps for the phone.
filmgirl.bsky.social
Easier to automate a good Windows install/setup experience too!
filmgirl.bsky.social
The fact that Office came to iPad before Windows RT will never not be funny and an amazing indictment of the flawed Windows 8 strategy.
filmgirl.bsky.social
I had an Asus or Acer RT device that was sent to me to review and that they didn’t want back for a very long time and sometimes I would use that and just go “why?!”
filmgirl.bsky.social
Literally for all the Windows 11 bitching (and aside from some stupid arbitrary hardware support stuff, I like Windows 11. It reminds me of macOS and that’s a good thing for me!) it feels like people have forgotten that Windows 8 existed. And I appreciate the ideas at the time. But goddamn.

If you want to understand open adoption, it makes sense to start with birth parents—yet studies of them are few. 2+ yrs ago, I began talking w/ birth mothers to try to understand what living in an open adoption is like for them, and what rights or options they might have if challenges were to arise.
When Adoption Promises Are Broken
Many birth mothers hope to maintain contact with their child. But their agreements with adoptive parents can be fragile.

We all skipped Windows 8 unless we were forced to use it and are better people for it.
sirjohncard.bsky.social
I like how they just skipped past Windows 8 like "Nah, I'm good"

Oh yeah it’s obviously a bug. I just like the fantasy of a few million people reinstalling windows 7
