I’ll be sharing more on my own personal site: filscotthenrique.com
This would be much more useful if 'targeted'... i.e. "remind me what I did last in this project I was working on before I went on vacation".

Remembering what I had for lunch on Tuesday last week doesn't seem useful except for advertisers, which I assume is the point of these gadgets.

It won't. Chinese Tesla's are produced in Shanghai.

This isn’t feasible for everyone but I really love Affinity’s apps. They work great, are pay once rather than a subscription model, and I haven’t missed Adobe’s apps at all since switching.

Give them a try if you haven’t and if your work is flexible enough to allow for it!

Agreed.

It’s much easier to convince the American people on the basis of merit rather than identity politics.

The latter is so hyper-charged you immediately lose a chunk of people at the outset.

Are we talking about Musk or Trump?

This reminds me of one of my favorite features of iOS (although it's not 100% consistent, in my experience). If someone texts you and says "Hey it's ______", iOS suggests the creation of their contact right at the top of the screen!

Android should definitely copy it if they haven't already.

I think I get it. It's like we've developed some "universal" patterns (like swiping up and down a screen to scroll) and any app that tries to break that expectation is going to run into UX issues?

So - since many apps "default" to showing data in "tabular" format", that's the expected UX pattern?

I’d be curious to see a study on this.

I initially agree, but maybe it’s just the fact that eventually you get used to where the information is?

Maybe the “onboarding” time is faster with the left example, but after a period maybe the right one would perform just as good.

I’m not sure the app would even work if they left it alone.

ISPs are likely not even allowed to resolve traffic to TikTok’s IP addresses. So it’s possible even if the app was untouched, no content would ever be delivered.

Any suggestions on how to handle web UI?

Is there a swiftUI -> HTML implementation of some kind?

My favorite time travel show remains “Travellers”. It’s on Netflix and the concept hooked me so quickly and I think it was executed very well.

Any recommendations? I’d love to check them out.

I installed an extension to hide shorts on the site because I was so tired of accidentally clicking or tapping them and getting sucked into an entirely different UX that I did not ask for.

If they released a separate app I would highly inclined to give it a try.

I think marketing, customer service, and "public" communications fields are likely going to see some of the biggest impacts from LLMs.

One of the remaining challenges I see is getting the LLM to understand/know company branding, product knowledge, and what's okay to share vs. not.

We should be encouraging lifelong learning, regardless of the method.
