Warner don't seem so keen on Paramount. The Warner board members have recommended rejecting the offer of $108.4bn in favour of Netflix.

UK Cinema bosses have raised the alarm about any takeover of Warner by Netflix or Paramount. They've written to the UK government about the threat to filmgoing and crucially losses of jobs. Perhaps governments could create rules regarding protecting cinema exhibition (again)

Guillermo Del Toro has confirmed that “Frankenstein” will get a 4k Bluray/Bluray release, which is a rarity for a #Netflix Original.

It'll probably be on the #CriterionCollection label, most other high profile Netflix physical media releases have been so far.

If #Netflix buys #WarnerBros they "promise to keep Warner Bros movies in Theaters" This was mentioned in a statement to Warner management...Maybe I'm overreacting but I don't trust Netflix one bit. We cannot lose theatrical releases like this if it happens.

Micro Review: #Pillion, a gay couple start a "BDSM romance" This film is very raunchy..definitely not one to watch with the grandparents. It is delicately funny and all of the cast are excellent, it all has a point about awakening and taking control of yourself.

#Labyrinth will return to the big screen January 8th to 11th 2026. It's to celebrate the 40th Anniversary 4k Bluray release. Seems to be USA only currently, hopefully we'll get the chance in the UK..I'll keep an eye out for screenings

Micro Review: #TheRunningMan (2025). It's got the usual fun factor of Edgar Wright movies, but something is missing. Ironically, it felt rushed even though it's quite long. Powell is good here as is most of the cast. Other things out now are better (Predator)
