People aren't interested in Xbox the same way people are interested in Nintendo consoles. Plus, you won't even need an Xbox to play Xbox games. Xbox can be successful 100%, but it won't be because of an Xbox console or device. That ship has sailed.

Because that's not the reality of the situation. Xbox hardware is being sold at a loss in addition to most people not being interested in buying one. Xbox doesn't have the privilege of recovering like Nintendo did (hardware wise). Switch was a product people wanted, + it had exclusives.

They were selling Xboxs for as low as $150, and it still did not matter. On top of that, Xbox games will be available on Swotch 2 and PlayStation 5. Members of the Xbox community might jump on that, but as a whole, we already have a good idea of how the gaming community will respond.

We have decades' worth of indicators to tell us how the community will react. Existing handhelds can already play every game an Xbox can and more. Those handhelds are not setting the world on fire. Xbox hardware has been rejected for 2 gens, & it's only getting worse.

He's not that far off tho. "Everything is an xbox" is their marketing strategy for a reason. They're telling people you don't need to buy the console because everything else already is an Xbox.
