Are they reasonable though? Asking for medical advice, generating a logo, avoiding a search engine, using a chat bot as a therapist or a friend, summarizing agreements for work: these are all things that I’ve seen people irl use genAI for. Is valuing convenience over everything else reasonable?

Thank you for clarifying! I want to add at this point that I loved Starseed Pilgrim but I hope that’s not a burden only a boon, you don’t have to make games if you don’t want to, there are other ways to express yourself, find your own balance. Good luck, you can do it!!

Could you expand on intentional resistance outside of the games context? I mean, if we’re talking about public transit, it should be plentiful and accessible to all. But talking about other forms of art? Does the friction not enable personal connection? Frictionless art is pap, no?

This is a funny example of grinding for “completion”! SotC is also a game that gets you feeling sad for the giants you just slayed. Feelings of “what am I even doing here” (trespassing and attempting to violate an ancient law). And now, slay the giants again in new game+!
