Here's one that amazes/annoys: no AL player not based out of laughably overvenerated HS-dimension Yankee Stadium had EVER hit 60 home runs in a season until last year. And the guy who did it then lost out on the league MVP--TO A YANKEE. Sheesh.
I think for me, it's Mariano Rivera's 0.70 ERA in 141 post-season innings. In fun terms: More people (12) have walked on the moon than scored off Rivera (11) in the post-season.
