- Difficult conversations do need to be had, but first you need to break down the view that your side is the enemy of the people, then most people can listen and have the conversations without it feeling like a fight.

- Debates are good entertainment, and could change the views of people watching. But I believe that it is unlikely for a debate to change the views of the people debating. The main people debates will convince is the people in the middle.

I know this is going to offend some people, here are some notes:
- I am not supporting their ideas, and they still should be called out. But the people who call them out are unlikely to be the ones to change their views.

Having a civil conversation breaks down the mental barrier of a conflict, and allows them to see that the other side is just as human. These people are in isolated circles, and the other side is portrayed as violent attackers, it does not take much to break that illusion.

I use a free (and super insecure) VPN called x-vpn, and have no issues, besides for it shutting off after like an hour. Both WorldCat and DuckDuckGo work for me.
