I hope someone sorts this out soon, because subscribing to some legacy media plus substacks plus other newsletters is getting really really expensive for me as a news junkie. Plus, even as a retired person I don’t have time to read everyone I currently support and would want to support.

I greatly admire your work. I’m genuinely curious as to how you judge a person’s sincerity when they denounce their former attitudes & when you think their claims of having changed their beliefs/support should be trusted. Your conclusion re Platner is clear, but why do you not accept his assertions?

Please include the location of the event when you post. Chicago? LA? Portland? Elsewhere? Evidence of their jack-booted thuggishness needs to be specifically documented if there’s any hope of eventual accountability—small as that hope may be. (You’re not alone in feeling like you’re going insane.)

My imagination is just not up to the task of understanding this. Could you explain just what the expanding universe is expanding into? Is it creating space as it moves into it? And how does that happen? Is there an analogy that helps visualize this, as with your article’s boat analogy? Thanks!
