I think that’s Joseph actually Balthazar ( in a red cloak) is on the other side behind Caspar I meant to say his hand rather than foot in my last reply

Ok - I think his foot is in there ! - just one tends to view the Magi as a trio usually when analysing the image. After all Balthazar normally taken to represent Africa so always interesting to see how he is portrayed.Great painting.
