No promises tho as I’ve also been having health problems, but I am scheduling a hysterectomy for sometime this summer that should take care of them 🥳 🤞 All the absolutely horrible things going on in the world don’t help, anxiety is a beast 😬 but we do what we can there, too 💪 🐝 🍁

I need to get my butt in gear for tiny cookie season 💪 🎄which starts as early as mid-July & peaks in November 😳 I also have an office now, which needs to be organized 😅 & will have dedicated space to take photos that will hopefully help me actually list all the things I make in my shops!

So. I haven’t been active here or anywhere else, or creating anything while my studio has been in transition, but I’m hoping to get this mess straightened up and get back to business in the next few weeks. Mom has been doing really well for the last month or so & I hope that continues 🤞

Being a caretaker while trying to run a business & be creative has been rough 😮‍💨 especially last year! But we do what we must for the ones we love. And I’m so grateful fireflyFrippery allows me the flexibility to run to all the dr appts & do everything else while still earning an income 🙏

We ripped out the tub downstairs to put in a walk in shower & made things more accessible overall. And I do like being upstairs, but I didn’t like having to move two households 😆 I’m still unpacking & re organizing - the floorplan in the great room is the same but there are little differences!

We had hoped she would get back to her post-stroke new normal after she recovered from the transplant but no 😢 so on a bad day, the stairs were a huge barrier. I had to call the squad half a dozen times and they were hard for the EMTs, too. It was definitely time to flip-flop.

Moving sucks, even in the same house! Plus I say it’s been a chaotic year but really mean the past 5 with mom’s health. Major & minor strokes; CKD & dialysis; then kidney transplant, prolonged recovery & frequent infections due to the immunosuppressants, all while trying to manage diabetes.
