Why is it that I enjoy shredded carrots in stir fry but hate chopped carrots in fried rice? Or when in chicken soup? How is one shape drastically different to my palate?

Sometimes I’m just too peopled out and I just wanna become a hermit. Is it possible to become like a seasonal hermit? Or part time?
