Addendum to this; I had to explain at work tonight that I often don't understand their jokes/sarcasm while repeatedly giving the same information to 3 different people. In the same chat. In a 5 minute span while trying not to get irritated or flustered.

I don't understand why this statement automatically means someone is infantizing you. People say it about anyone & everyone they like on the internet as a way of saying they don't want anything bad to happen to them especially those that are kind or sweet.
