I checked into this a bit and it seems that they're doing it on accounts with personalized searches set to off or while logged out.
Strangely, this AI mode existing also messes up all highlighting (see: emphasized text is NOT the matching string)...

Cool Angular Fact: Angular signals do not support deep state reactivity. We have to do this:
