I've finally ended the chapter I was on, so now it's down to the final five. Generally, these go relatively quickly compared the middle, but the end is in sight now.

So I've determined I need to completely restart the chapter I'm on to correct the story's current trajectory. It's not the first time this sort of thing has happened, and I'm certain it won't be the last. In any case, I'm back to it.

It's been hard to focus on anything creative lately. I have to spend so much energy settling things in my head because of all the crap I see from this idiotic administration and what it's doing to people. I have no peace about anything, and if I wasn't always angry about it, I'd be heartbroken.

It's been a while since my last update, but I'm working on promotional material now to get word out. I may have gone a little overboard though, so RIP to these cards I made that won't see wide circulation anymore. Maybe I'll find another place for them. Here's hoping.

Sometimes, I underestimate the emotional toll traumatic sections have on me. It's not enough to just visualize what's happening. I often feel the impact and strong emotions that come with it as well. The most recent one came in waves. There's a lot to unpack, so I may revisit it while editing.

So it's a new year, and that means it's time for a New Year's resolution. Current resolution is to have book 7 done and in circulation before the year is over. I think that's an attainable, modest goal. The first draft is already half done, so it's practically in reach already. What can go wrong?
