I love Taylor Swift and romance novels and will likely talk too much about both. 🩵
Oh, okay. The good news is I didn’t miss something local for me. The bad news is that’s awful.

… wait, where in Western NC? That’s where I live and now I’m worried I might have missed something in local government news. 😬

I’m glad it’s not just me! It just seemed so odd to me. Like I know I’ve been eating more bland foods lately, but I wouldn’t think that would mean I suddenly can’t eat a food I love!

I read Payback’s a Witch and generally enjoyed it. Sapphic and witchy. I feel like there are more but that is for some reason the only one currently coming to mind. I shall keep thinking!

Anyway, all this disjointed thread to say, @oliviawrites.bsky.social is wonderful and I love her writing so much. And also, romance novels are so important to me. Because wow, Matthew just taking care of her? This is what I want. And need. 😅

I was crying for so much of this book. It felt so cathartic but also, the way I am overwhelmed and stressed out, it felt like this book was sending me DANGER AHEAD signs. Like, you need to change something before this is where you wind up.

In At First Spite, Athena talks about how teaching was making her feel like she was suffocating. The book also has depression representation.

I really love my local indie because they never judge me when I come in with a list of ten preorders at the beginning of the year. It’s City Lights Bookstore in Sylva, NC. 💕
