no vote either/or but, anecdotally, the two people i know that use it are absolutely spectrumed up. lol

friend-time presenting more like a true gift, rather than an obligation or necessity, imbues it with this casual glow i'm kind of in love with. it also highlights, for me, the people & places i really crave spending time with & at, respectively (barring other factors, like proximity & such).

for one, i always thought that i had some rapacious appetite for regular hangouts with friends, & a variety of them—nowadays, i can scarcely work up the energy or time to schedule for more than once a week! one of many odd, but overall-pleasant shifts. :)
