the other day I gave myself a mental slap on the wrist because I did a double take at a man who for a second I thought was him. It was outside my office building so it obviously wasn’t him but there was me thinking I was crazy….

it really just felt like watching a man make a conscious decision to choose his community over himself. I think I’m probably deeping it too much but it really made me pause and think

it’s watching a man reckoning with the responsibility of answering this question properly&meaningfully & doing it justice. u can see him weighing what he wants to say & consciously making the decision that this important enough & going on to open up about his own past & struggles. it really moved me

this had me giggling like a teenager so much
