A delicious creamy soup made with fresh fish that is fighting really hard to stop an international right wing conspiracy to install a fascist dictatorship in the U.S.A.
BTW

I think most republican voters never believed Trump was actually going to do any of these things. He hadn't kept any promises in the past, so they figured he wouldn't keep any promises moving forward. Many are having difficulty going along with this now. Many of them wish he would stop.

BTW

As a statistician, I have some serious concerns about the anomalies in that last election. It was unlike any other recent election.

I think he DID win, but I don't think he won the popular vote. A LOT of funny business went on. I wish we had done some recounts.

Trump's gains with Latinos and Blacks were exaggerated by the media. With Latinos, Trump got 42% v Harris's 56%. The gain was mostly with men and was mostly driven by anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ issues, but "affordability" was also a driver.

"Culture war" issues divide the working class.

Ahhh... the beautiful danger of filing false defamation lawsuits.

The defendant now has the power to subpoena evidence for the defense.

mental & physical injury? = mental & physical health records

financial damage = financial records

damage to reputation as law abiding = evidence of crimes

I agree with you C%.

Just White men over 50 (me).

Conditioned into implicit racism, poorly educated, mentally ill, lonely, and angry.

Remove us from the vote, and democrats would win every election everywhere.

Totally right on... but my response adds a lot more.

Now, the republican machine and the oligarchs are "all in." They MUST go "all the way" with Trump into fascism. If they don't, then they will lose and go to prison. They must win or die. They have gone too far and can't get back down without losing everything.

Far left or far right.

U.S. elections start with primaries. 28% vote in primaries. Half are GOP. In 2016, that 14% was divided between 4 strong GOP candidates. As a result, Trump won with an angry & racist 5%. After that, the republican machine supported him because they don't want a democrat to win.

The top 10% (the middle and upper class) have a stake in maintaining the status quo. The other 90% don't see any benefit. Some just want to destroy everything. They don't understand that it CAN get much worse than it is.

America will be VERY unstable until it rebuilds its middle class.

People are angry and want radical change. They will vote against the incumbent and support the candidate who offers an explanation of who to blame and a course of action. Trump offered that and Harris did not.

Mamdani and Sanders are popular because they offer it.

The "real" median income in the U.S. is $45,000 per Fed. That means most people are struggling and, with the inflation and price gouging, the struggle keeps getting worse. 99% agree that something is SERIOUSLY wrong, but they don't agree on exactly what is wrong, who to blame, or how to fix it.

Trump reduced inflation by 500%.

He's a like some kind of genius... but stable... a stable genius... or a genius that should be kept in a stable.

Who will shovel out that stable each morning?

Trump thinks magnets lose their power when they get wet.

Trump thinks that the extra weight of a battery will sink a boat.

Trump thinks windmills cause cancer.

Culture generally emerges from political economic systems and technology instead of vice versa.

In this case, it would be better for corporations if their U.S. market were standardized with the other markets.

They already did it with 1 liter bottles in the 80s because it is easier for them.

Keep in mind that Pepsi doesn't have to do this with other distributors because they OWN them through PepsiCo. They also own the retailers like 7-11 and their division, Yum Foods, owns KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Subway, Dairy Queen, etc...
