Book Number 9 - Guillotine by Delilah S. Dawson read by Elisabeth Ashby.

This book is one of my favorite genres - justice porn. Okay, probably not the official genre, but it is the one I am putting it in.

What if bad things happen to bad people? Sign me the fuck up. Inject it right into my veins.

Book Number 8 - Guitar Concerto in C Flat Minor, Op. 12: Lucina by @anotherindiewriter.com

I've read Morgan's work before so expected to enjoy this one. I had no idea what it was about, but sometimes you just have to trust the author. I'm glad I did.

Book number 6 of the year - They Ate the Waitress? by @dnschmidt.com

I had no idea what to expect going in as I went in blind, but this was just the book I needed given *gestures at everything*

Technically a mystery, for me this was more the absurd and funny break from reality I needed.

New toy day - from Ms. Rose at Compass Rose. As with all her work it's beautifully made. This one is Bolivian Rosewood and measures 18" x 1". Thin and light, it gets your attention while you wait for something that leaves a longer lasting impression.

I had one issue with this book - it ended too soon. I wanted more. Much more!

In my on going quest to make my office feel like less of a prison and more of a place I actually want to be 40+ hours a week - Art!

A lovely little piece from @xxyxxy.com. I love how Joel's paintings seem to focus on one main color, in this case green. It goes well with blue and red.

Below that at the bottom, it's mostly a black mountain and landscape with a red sky. 5 glowing globes hang over the landscape slowly fading from view as they get smaller as they go back. Perspective and what not.

Book 4 of 2026 - Through Gates of Garnet and Gold by Seanan McGuire read by Cynthia Hopkins.

McGuire's Wayward Children series is one of my favorites so it's always nice to get a new installment.

For a place that doesnt allow quests, lots of quests happen.

I've been a fan of Adam's work since I was warmly knitted into the world of A Necromancer Called Gam Gam so was excited for this new book with a whole new direction, setting, and cast of characters.

We made a visit to the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures recently to see their Harryhausen exhibit. It was really cool seeing props from some of my favorite movies from childhood. Back when stop-motion was king.
