Monsters in Monster Hunter are treated as animals, despite having fantastical like qualities. It’s what makes them feel ‘realistic’. Even elder dragons are treated as a fact of life. If I recall correctly, monsters aren’t demonized for acting on instinct (even with the Guardians introduced in Wilds)
