What are these difficult to keep exotic pets? Well the second most common one was Cherry Shrimp. Those famously taken from the wild and difficult to keep pets. That's sarcasm fyi.

Heater burn isn't a thing for fish. They have sensory nerves in their skin, can feel pain, and heaters aren't that hot. Trust me I've held one underwater on a live video. Most 'heater burns' are infections from scratches or infected lateral line. tropicalfishkeeping.co.uk/heater-burn-...

There is something stunning about the traditionally shaped goldfish. Simple, healthy, and likely to live for decades. But they get a lot larger than the fancy types.

Was once thought to be a species of apistogramma
Benthophagous feeder. Meaning they pick up mouthfuls of substrate and expell the silt and sand via their gills.

Discus are a wonderfully example of evolution. Shaped like a flattened disc they are members of the cichlid family. Native to the Amazon region there are a number of species, but a lot of aquarium species are hybrids.

Pearl gourami, an aquarium favourite for a reason. Pretty peaceful, will thrive in a wide range of conditions, and are stunning in the right light.
