No Hao. Today’s FOTD (fish of the day) is the Mandarinfish - aka Synchiropus splendidus or mandarin dragonet. The mandarinfish is native to the Pacific, normally inhabiting the warm waters from the Ryukyu Islands south to Australia. Imo, this little bugger looks like he’s ready for Mardi Gras. #fish

If you see this long, skinny fella - watch out! In many cultures, an oarfish sighting is considered a harbinger for bad things to come like earthquakes or tsunamis. Let’s hope there isn’t any truth to that as one was recently spotted in Mexico. #fish #oarfish #omens #unsettling #makesyathink

Woah! Watch out for this fella. It’s the Great Barracuda! They’re found generally in subtropical seas. Ann Wilson likes singing about them. #fish #fishoftheday #fotd

I found him! This is the Ocellaris clownfish, AKA Anemonefish AKA Amphiprion Ocellaris. This little one reminds me of Luca Brasi for some reason.
