For anyone’s who’s never read it, here’s the Thatcher speech he’s praising.

It was a remarkable event.

Pensioner?

Most pictures I see of the anti-immigrant rioters etc are middle-aged or young.

And around my bit of the world, most of the EVs / solar etc belong to the older generation ... something to do with the youngsters having no disposable income.

Beware casual stereotypes.

Basic law for journalists. I’d have asked you to qualify it by adding, for example, “considered by many to be the most corrupt …”

As you wrote it, it’s near impossible to defend in court.

Renewables, as an asset class, are out-performing the S&P tracker I didn’t buy.

I have bought renewables, but to no one’s surprise, my small forays into stocks don’t move markets. Ah well.

North American mega-fauna?

We can deliver bigger outcomes, but that’s technology.

Best discussed over beer. Ie not in sound bites.

Ancient civilisations fought bloody wars over water and much political power was vested in its control.

I think we need to be careful about mythologising our ancestors.

Lyme is easy to treat, but only if caught very early.

Look for a red rash, often round, or blisters around the bite.

Tests very unreliable. Most drs misdiagnose.

There’s no harm in taking a 3 wk course of doxycycline, and jeopardy if you don’t.

I’ve got Lyme. DM me if you like.
