also the DSM focuses more on distinctiveness of alters & amnesia levels to separate between DID & OSDD1 while the ICD focuses more on switching ability to separate between DID & p-DID

what you're referring to is probably p-DID (a diagnosis new only in the ICD11)

OSDD1a alters can switch, but they all have like the same "core" identity but at different ages/life stages for example

partial DID:
- distinct parts
- they can't switch (or only rarely/in high stress moments)
- usually have less amnesia than "classic" DID
