3. Go for a walk right after you eat. Even a short 10-15 minute walk can dramatically reduce the the glucose spike from a big carb heavy meal. Your leg muscles will take up a lot of that excess glucose instead of insulin being secreted which then stores the excess in fat cells.

2. Eat your veggies first. Eat your green bean casserole (or any other fibrous veggies) before you dig into your sweet potatoes or rolls. Getting some fiber in your stomach before a bunch of carbs slows down the absorption of those carbs again reducing the glucose spike.

1. Apple cider vinegar 10 minutes before you eat. Mix up a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a full glass of water and drink it 10 minutes before you eat. This will help prevent a glucose spike and thus the following crash making you tired after the meal.
