I honestly believe that Trump is the biggest liar in American history and quite possibly the history of the world.

In a sense, the tariffs are just another shiny object to distract us from an even larger issue — the descent of the US into repressive autocracy. Economic freedom is only one of the casualties we will sustain in the absence of political freedom.

I expect judges to start to bending the knee soon. They fear for their own safety. Congress and the judiciary think they will ride out these four years, but it seems like that is unlikely to happen. A few weeks back, Trump said to the Maine Governor "I am the law". We are in trouble.

It seems that turning the economy over to a six time bankruptee whose crowning achievement in business was pretending to be a successful businessman on a scripted television show was a really bad idea.

It’s abundantly clear that GOP lawmakers are happy to throw their constituents under the bus to gain Trump’s favor, because in the voting calculus, Trump’s endorsement is worth more than their constituents’ well-being. This says as much if not more about the voters as it does the elected officials.

A flat income tax is a terrible idea, rewarding the wealthy not for hard work but for simply being wealthy. If the goal is to create a plan specifically directed at worsening wealth inequality, a flat tax would be the cornerstone. Making more money is not evidence of working harder in today’s world.

Trump said that there was nothing he could say to make the Democrats (and the rest of us) happy. I disagree. How about, "I QUIT."

Measles are up.🌡️
Planes ✈️ are down.
Egg prices are up. 🍳
Our standing in the world 🌎 is down.
Gas ⛽️ prices are going up.
Stock market is down. 📈
But hey, at least the Kremlin 🇷🇺 is happy.

It would be nice if media outlets dropped the use of the phrase "America First" in reporting. It's an administration propaganda tool, not an actual policy, law or program — but merely a smokescreen to hide behind the active demolition of our democracy. Use of the term gives it unfounded legitimacy.

I have to wonder why, at this moment, the Oscars decided to be apolitical. We need them to use their platform to speak out now more than ever. Aside from that, Conan did a good job overall and the choice of Mozart for the in memoriam background was very nice.

A cultural and economic coup is well underway in America. The TRUE “patriots” are not buying what Trump is selling. It's all coercion and fear, if not outright repression. The resistance must regain its strength because unfortunately, the USA is now part of the axis of evil. We must not be silent.

When I was a sophomore in high school, I couldn't understand why my English teacher made us read the novel "Animal Farm.” I now understand why, and I’m seeing that novel becoming closer and closer to non-fiction every day.

The DOGE “wall of receipts” is an ever increasing body of evidence that DOGE is not an actual audit. We simply have computer programmers using search tools/AI looking for key words & not double checking results. A high school programmer could do this. How much money is DOGE wasting on this project?

Putin is the bad guy. Why is this confusing?

248 years as the leaders of the free world. No longer. Dismantled by ignorance, greed, propaganda. racism and misogyny.
