Has anyone done the math on the expected net seats gained/lost based on these changes when accounting for the special elections margins we are currently seeing? On paper it seems terrible for dems, but surely there is a point where you dilute it so much uncompetitive seats becomes competitive too.

I am honestly shocked at the framing of this. It seems significant that those unsure are truly identifying as unsure who to blame and not just outright blaming dems. It’s incredible that there is so much uncertainty but it still seems evident the needle continues to move albeit slowly.

It may just be me, but I swear I see something that looks so destroyed in Thune’s eyes every time I see him. I really think that he is one case kind of like Rubio, where he was actually broken by Trump, and wasn’t completely void of principles prior. It doesn’t excuse him by any means but still.

Worth noting that if they didn’t pass the first CR, they wouldn’t even be able to say dems opposed a clean CR.

It doesn’t surprise me anymore when he shows how self serving and manipulative he is. It does however somehow continue to astound me with the ease in which he fools his base into believe he has even one single principle he holds.

Every time I hear him speak he sounds worse. Like that man is so clearly not well and anyone with an ounce of critical thinking can notice it.
That being said I find it somewhat comforting that there was not one clap, or cheer when he spoke like that.

This is so obviously fake. No metadata at all. And as someone who works with high schoolers and young adults in person and online, not once have I ever heard a conversation carried out like this. Truly unbelievable.

I consider myself a pretty intelligent person. I keep up with political happenings and current events but what reason could there possibly be for ruling something unconstitutional while leaving it in place? Can someone explain that? (I don’t need to hear Trump is above the law, I know that.)

I’ve seen other people share the same sentiment and while difficult I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that it actually is very American and we as a country need to accept that so we can actually start to move forward and actually begin to combat all forms of persecution.

Congress absolutely needs to do more to combat the use of AI for spreading disinformation but this is as much an education issue as anything. So many people have had their brains rotted and made incapable to think even a little critically. There is a giant AI watermark in the bottom corner.

This isn’t just an attempt to both sides. He wants to normalize framing it this way so we can weaponize it as his term goes on even up to what should be the end of it.
