How dare you (and thank you)!

We had a lady at the library the other day making copies and proclaiming how evil Amazon was as she was doing it--engaged in some righteous battle with them, no doubt. How do you feel about Amazon? Love 'em, hate 'em, never heard of 'em?

Normally, I'd say, "Come on in and check out the books from my library!". But, it's icy and slickery out, so stay in, if you can...and if you live anywhere near me.

I was just talking about "Death of a Salesman" the other day at the library. (SEE ALT FOR MORE)

If your reading challenge has a prompt to read a book based on a song title or titles, and you are more of a fan of Michael Jackson's music, this one might fit the bill. A bunch of brand name authors--so worth checking out, anyway.

How many of the 52 banned books here have you read? I've come in at a resounding zero. What does that say about me? I don't know, but I haven't NOT read them, if you know what I mean. I think I've got 51 weeks left--I'd better get going! :)

How to Invent Everything by Ryan North

North makes humanity this loveable bunch of saps bumbling around in the dark accidentally inventing things that work for the wrong reasons, and says "Look at all the great things these bozos did. You can do better. Go do it."

Finally read this classic, and enjoyed it! Short and funny, I can see how it became a cult and culture classic.
