I would love to know more about that! I have been pushing for a11y in multiple companies and it is almost the same battle every time even when I think it should be basic knowledge by now.

It's about being emotional and vulnerable in public that makes people uneasy. Showing that is considered weakness when in fact it's the opposite and we need more of that.

But I'd argue that the platforms hypercharge the volume of the haters since the "engagement" is higher.

Thanks for letting me know. Love the work you put into the Primer a11y page, will add that to my resources. 😀 As sad as it is it's always better to have a big brand name say basically the same thing I do because up to that point some colleagues have this attitude:

funny, today I was researching accessible <select> elements for the WebApp part of React Native. Could find plenty of "we are accessible first" solutions. None of them us a <select> but some kind of custom div-hell components with aria labels slapped around.
