Papi will be a causality of a new GM cause you aren’t keeping your manager if your GM goes, they’ll get that choice. But I wouldn’t be super sad to see him go. The slow starts, not playing DPs or waiting to play them, or the gelling argument he uses every year when most of the roster is the same.

I think the system is the bigger issue. it’s just papi wants a very particular winger to make it work, which isn’t Ojeda. I think to a degree they have but their DPs haven’t hit like other teams. If Muriel doesn’t figure it out + new guy doesn’t, they could very much be on the hot seat with papi.

Listen if he’s the guy, I hope he keeps improving. I’ll say I like his directness and his willingness to shoot, even outside the box. We need that.
