Calling awful people “druggies” doesn’t make them less awful but it does make it easier to ignore all the people using drugs and dying early death bc they don’t like being treated without dignity.

It's the same with "felon." This is also a losing strategy, if humanity isn't enough for you -- turns out a lot of people have felony convictions and a lot of people use drugs. Some people are awful and do awful things regardless of their status as an undesirable.

A generation of people died, more women are incarcerated than anywhere else, the military is murdering people bc of “drugs,” DHS is kidnapping ppl because of “drugs” yet some don’t want to stop saying the word “druggie” or “addict”. Being dehumanizing is not a way to defeat fascism.
