Can confirm, I love radicalise you against capitalism, and this game has it! (It’s also sharply written, has very satisfying number go up, and a birds hate you challenge mode that makes the birds hate you.)

It’s a real nightmare suite. Transparently empowering the police state to protect capital and pro-genocide organisations from any meaningful protest and throwing immunocompromised folks under the bus as barely an afterthought. ‘Social cohesion’ is and always has been code for ‘shut up and work’

That sounds really interesting. Final Profit is already such a cool and unique work, both in form and the way you use that form to talk about the hellscape of late capitalism, but I’m really fascinated by what a version where Biz remained a head of state would have looked like.

(I see why you thought this would come out before apple, in retrospect the trigger point is obvious, but I think people probably automatically said 'yes' to that dialogue without fully parsing the in-game hint, closing the window. Whereas the apple window never closes, so it was easier to test for.)

God I haven’t thought about Summoner 2 in years. Love a game that throws a layer of kingdom/economic management over the top of its main vibe, and actually makes it feel at least somewhat meaningful/interesting.
