Honestly? This is great. The initial response from mods was outright awful but I'm so pleased to hear someone at the site was actually listening instead of trying to shout down queers.

X2's item hunt felt a whole lot more interesting than X1's item hunt tho. And I found myself using the extra weapons just a little bit more - but even still I nearly completed that game exclusively using the buster because it just felt easier than sussing out weaknesses or utility in the weapons.

The utility in the powers in MM2 made each one relatively useful in different circumtances. MM3 onward the powers really felt like an afterthought.

Especially after the charge shot was introduced. It feels like the boss weakness or enemy weakness is almost always "Charge the buster and fire it."

Oh friend I'd never expect you to ever come off as antagonistic here.

A lot of my opinion stems out of Mega Man 2 and how the level design, powers, and bosses feel like this really perfect union of design. Since then Mega Man felt like it went downhill. Games got much easier, bosses got less fun?
