In addition to his commercial and series work, Shaw has directed music videos for acclaimed artists like They Might Be Giants and Aesop Rock, pushing the boundaries of animation to create surreal and thought-provoking visuals.

Shaw also directed the Rats from the Emmy-winning series Portlandia.

Shaw currently celebrates three 2025 Emmy nominations and an 2025 Annie Award for directing the beloved stop-motion series The Tiny Chef Show on Nickelodeon and Netflix for Shadow Machine.
