Also lol, I have similar thoughts re: other editions of D&D, which is if someone was like "Stefan do you want to play in our (NON OSE and/or B/X version of D&D)?" I would almost immediately be like yes, sounds great despite not deriving the same enjoyment from the post B/X editions

let me extol the virtues of Old School Essentials, which is basically uh, B/X D&D or Basic/Expert D&D, the most popular version of which was the Red Box rules. I think at this point I've played all the D&D editions excluding white box and IMHO OSE is the best fantasy adventure game

haha I also just thought of another funny hurdle, I'd probably need to commission an artist to draw my perfect pig face orc and pay their design/commercial fee instead of personal use fee. Ha, maybe next year since most of my anticipated bonus is earmarked for house stuff

Haha I have considered it! But I think that it's a lot more difficult due to: Finding the right sculptor who does commission work and in the style I want; me not having a 3D printer; miniature sculpting I think is astronomically more expensive than the art I commission

I was reminded of when there was a reissue of the Barry Windsor Smith Conan comics and how there was just a staggering loss of the vibrancy/colors in the restored reissue. It sucks when reissues/remasters actually make a great thing worse
