I'm surprised this guy's book hasn't received more criticism. His use of the term "unhuman" is the sort of thing you would expect to see in genocide pushing propaganda.

But what you're not acknowledging is there is something off about how he relates specific to Putin. Best example is the first term contacts with Putin without transcripts being made and no official US translator in on the call. That's real strange. He may fawn over Xi Jinping but he doesn't do that.

He's right, dragons are way cool. I've never met anyone who thought otherwise.

Disagree. Shawshank was OK at best, haven't seen Green Mile, so I'll reserve judgment.
Some standouts:
A Prophet (2009) - probably the best
On the Yard
Short Eyes
Animal Factory
Starred Up is also good but not on the same level of those.
Midnight Express is another one better than Shawshank.
