I'm not too sure they are. You're basically ring-fencing concerts by major artists as "concerts," and saying smaller ones aren't "concerts." I'm not sure many habitual gig-goers would agree with you.

You can still catch plenty of great quality of live bands for $15 when they're on the way up, and have the bragging rights of saying you saw them before they were big. Your support then is also arguably when it most matters. Seek out smaller gigs!
