I'm 99% certain my dad would tell me to go watch a specific Star Trek episode where they'd be having something close to whatever problem I was having and try and do near to whatever solution as they came up with irl myself. He did this while alive, and it was weirdly accurate a lot of the time.

Clearly, a winning strategy to attract youth voters is to [checks notes] co-opt a sexual orientation that faces some amount of discrimination and confusion within the *queer* community as well as the broader public. Nothing will go wrong here ~_~

After fighting for SSDI for the disabilities I already have (for YEARS), this is a huge blow. My finances are a hot mess as it is, and immunosuppressants are NOT the best thing to be on when one works with primary-aged kids. So, I'd have to quit my super low hours job. Making finances tighter.

I hate this so much. My dad has multiple myeloma, currently incurable. But recent advancements means it can be managed far better/longer now. We NEED that research to keep going. Especially since the current cost to not die a really horrible death is obscene...
