What’s the “staffer’s” name? Is it David Dennison or John Barron? Maybe have Susie Wiles testify under oath as to whether it was Trump. And if she sticks to the staffer lie, ask who it was. She won’t name them but okay, then ask her if that staffer was reprimanded or fired or disciplined in any way.

It wouldn’t be the French Revolution, more likely widespread protests with radical groups targeting individuals and assets. The scale and outcome would depend on how bad things get and how angry people are.

I don’t disagree. They probably will be fine. People are still too comfortable for now. But look at the reaction. Luigi is a folk hero. The Overton Window shifted. It’s no longer unthinkable. People know who the villains are. If there’s an economic upheaval, some level of violence is inevitable.

Best is the enemy of better, but Democrats always negotiate against themselves, offering what they think the GOP will allow. Come in hard; open hearings, Noem & Miller gone, goons withdrawn, ID, no masks, special prosecutor, cooperate with state authorities, judicial warrants… Negotiate from there.

I posted this same thought a year ago, when people started pinning their hopes on the midterms, and was called crazy and told to stop being defeatist, that they wouldn’t do that. Well, we’ve seen there’s nothing they won’t do, and who’s going to stop them?

I don’t know how, whether keeping the House out of session or simply ignoring the election and trying to carry on until all “irregularities” have been litigated or what, but authoritarians don’t follow laws and don’t just hand over power. Especially when it might land them in prison.
