Where I am, it's illegal to ride them on the sidewalk so it's important to be able to keep up w/ traffic or I'd get weighed down by traffic & I prefer my bones intact.
Accidents are usually caused by a variance in speed regardless of the limit. Would be different if we had bike lanes everywhere!

Yes someone handed me a sign with "we have friends everywhere." Was perfect considering the guy Fawkes mask I was wearing for all those who were unable to attend across the world.
