Choosing ethical fragrance oils has been important to me since starting Flickering Reverie. It has been important to me to choose environmentally safe and cruelty-free fragrance oils. However, it came to my attention that some fragrance oils include phthalates. Phthalates (pronounced THAL-ates) are a combination of chemicals that make plastic soft and flexible. Phthalates can seep from manufactured products into other substances, such as food, liquids and dust.

Every year, the Alzheimer's Association hosts the Longest Day event on the summer solstice (June 20th). The Alzheimer’s Association invests in research projects in 56 continents, promotes discussion by the global research community, and assists individuals living with Alzheimer's. This year, I will be honoring my great grandmother with a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association.
