Butter tarts have a pie-like crust on the outside, with a rich gooey filling in the middle. Miuch like what I see in your dessert. Butter tarts can have pecans or raisins in them, which may change their name LOL.

It MIGHT taste somewhat like a Canadian Better tart. That's not a bad thing at all.
