Áine is good at packaging.

Áine's eyes are changing colour. They used to be hazel but are shifting to amber-gold giving her the look of a sparrow hawk. I wonder if they will settle at gold like her mother's eventually?

Her black horns/go-faster stripes/angel feathers (select preference to suit) are beginning to fade too.

Áine kitten sometimes fluffs up her tail when play becomes very exciting, and here it's twicd its usual width!

At some point she'd pruned the flowering cactus above her head again too (there's a leaf on the floor in front of her)

It's all go here following a diagnosis last week which means I need to go into hospital in Nov for an op. Not the best timing for a maker online retail business but I'm hugely grateful to the NHS for acting speedily to sort me out.

This gift went off with another this morning - hope they like it!

Have a good Thor's Day folks. No idea what type of fern this is but it's not a type I see often and I like it. Mind you, I like ferns anyway...

It took me a while to work out where Áine's back legs were when I first noticed her position. Wish I was this bendy and relaxed!

Hello folks. Here's a view of Lancaster Castle and St Mary's Priory I took across Fairfield nature reserve in Lancaster in early Oct a few years ago. The reserve is just a mile outside Lancaster city centre and home to an impressive array of flora and fauna.

Áine Kitten has sprouted an extra pair of incisors. I'm worried she's retained the originals but vet says to keep an eye on them as they may still drop out. No wonder she keeps biting me. Anyway, she's going on the front of my chariot when I need to channel my inner Boudicca!

You too can have foldable vegetable stew. Simply add too much water then rectify it by adding too much psyllium husk.

The other ingredients are teff grain, gluten-free tamari soy sauce, vegetable squash, yellow pepper, tomatoes, spinach and quorn.

Have a good Sunday, folks. I took this photo of the Lune Estuary near Conder Green. The ever changing scenes of the estuary, the wildlife and variety of landscapes make it a fascinating place. Although avian flu has taken its toll there are avocets, curlews, lapwings, greenfinches and more.

He's gorgeous, and what a great age to reach! I used to have house rabbits. They're such wonderful characters. My last one, Dougal, died last year. Here he is on the right with Jemima, his big love. I used to cut his head fur so he could see.

This is Áine (pronounced Awnya) who was almost 4 months old when this photo was taken and is now just over 4.5 months. She's named after the Irish goddess of summer, wealth and sovereignty and likes to wreak havoc. I'm told her horns/"go faster" stripes will disappear eventually, which is a shame.

A good harvest of hazelnuts from the tree in my yarden this year. There's over a pound here although a few are empty and they're a bit crunchy. Last year's were nicer. Probably another pot full came off the tree green. More ripe ones will have fallen nextdoor and in the alley. Reduces my food bill!
