I’m in Luton for a couple of days. Formerly one of the epicentres of the UK hat industry. That’s why I’m here as my exhibition finishes today. Having breakfast in the Mall which does dominate the town. Very diverse population but not many have crossed the threshold into the gallery space.

'When the BBC launched Radio 1 in 1967, it became her ambition to join the station. But BBC managers stuck rigidly to their all-male line-up.

Where to begin. No followers and I waited for weeks to get my code and now have lost interest. Most of the chat is US politics so I am a bit lost. On my head is a piece I made for ‘wear a hat day’ in the UK. It’s a fundraiser for brain tumour research. Title: ’With Kid Gloves.’ Is anyone out there?
