My Alien canon is "Alien," "Aliens," "Alien 3," "Romulus," and "Alien Earth." Xenomorphs weren't supposed to reach Earth, so I wasn't sure about "Alien Earth." It surprises me and has me curious: is Prodigy just another evil company, and are they hearing signals intended for a queen yet to appear?

I saw "Contact" in a list of underrated Sci-Fi films. It hit me that I don't like Matthew McConaughey in the film: not only because his character isn't in the book, but he's the embodiment of "mansplaining." And I hate how Jodie Foster's character reacts to him. All pie eyed and grinning.
