Ha! We are talking about Voyager for the most part. Got any Voyager questions? This is all to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary.

Join the Star Trek Family group on Facebook (www.facebook.com/groups/25867...), then look under the Events tab to find the Q&A. And please, if you can, donate to St. Jude's. (If you do so during the live event, you might win a Voyager prize!) (2/2)

My friend @thatneilguy.bsky.social sent me this AI summary of an email I sent him. Normally not a fan of such things but this was accurate.

This is obviously hateful, but for people indifferent to the hate, just a big waste of money. You have the Secretary of Transportation cheering the destruction of functional public infrastructure.

Just openly cheering the destruction of any representation of gay people in public space. They think their power is totally unrestricted, and the entire country will support them rolling back society to the 1950s, or maybe the 1850s

I think if you're a young, pregnant American citizen woman who shows up at an ER and gets treated, you are happy and don't give a shit what your insurance company is paying as long as you don't have to. You certainly don't care what other people are paying.

Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Ha! I knew what you meant. And same! I really look forward to it.

NEW: I spoke to clergy and faith leaders who've joined protests at the Chicago-area ICE facility.

Three say they've been shot with pepper balls, sometimes while praying.

All say ICE is also violating their religious freedom, and one is arguing it in court. religionnews.com/2025/10/07/i...

Oh sure, you can laugh... you're not anywhere near the long squiggly bug. (If you were I'd have you show up in mirror universe gear to take care of it.)

Schiff: This is supposed to be an oversight hearing when dozens of prosecutors have been fired simply because they worked on cases investigating the former president.

Bondi: What about the fires in California? Are the riots in LA serious?

Thank you so much! I confess I've been wanting to do a deep dive interview with Robbie for a long time. Means a lot that you liked it, and that you like our podcast! We have some great guests coming up.

I go a little bit insane when it tells me something is wrong with the attention-getting underline but then drops the ball after that.

I saw a long squiggly bug in my office so ran out and got one of the cats but then she didn't see it so I ran and got my husband and he didn't see it and now I'm back in my office living in terror of the long squiggly bug coming back.

To be fair, the interview was for the Star Trek Family fan group and part of a fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and Mark, who heads up the group, graciously allowed me to use it for the podcast as well. And thank you!!!

I don't care if there's a shutdown, there's no way air traffic controllers or any other essential workers should have to work without pay. Change the damned rules.

I believe there are two things that will reliably galvanize otherwise non-politically oriented average Americans: not being able to watch sports and chaos at the airports

I agree! The story, the casting, the sound design all comes together in harmony. I can't listen Mondays but I look forward to it first thing every Tuesday morning. I will be very sad when it's over.
