So it begins...

Yesss! Yeah, it's perfect for my needs. Just something that sits in the living room so I can easily just pick up and practice whenever I just need to do something~
November 16, 2025 at 11:55 PM
Yeah, I have two monitors, with my second being vertically mounted. One of them is my main screen, it's what I'm really focusing on. Usually a game or something, with my second screen being for browser windows, occasionally OBS, Discord, et al.

Na, a Rumble 40 that lives next to the couch ^^
November 16, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Yeah, I'm really liking it so far! It's pretty much what I was after, something like a Rat with blend knobs. So yeah~
November 16, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Shame you can't edit the alt text, my phone changed MXR to MCR lmao
November 16, 2025 at 1:24 AM
We're completely goddamn ridiculous, I love it <3

I'd rather play my bass poorly than have a machine "play" it for me, you know?
November 14, 2025 at 2:38 AM
It just feels like a life without meaning to me, I guess. And it feels like I'd be throwing away so many experiences and opportunities to learn, all in the name of "convenience."

Think of all the new skills I could be learning, that I'd just... completely avoid.
November 14, 2025 at 2:38 AM
And I mean, what's left of us if we've let a computer do all our problem-solving, our thinking, our artistic endeavours, for us?

Or asking them to summarise a book or an article for us, ensuring we never actually have to experience or attempt to engage with what the writer has to say?
November 14, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Like, people create things. We problem solve, we discover, we come up with inventive new solutions to things even in our everyday lives.

And there's something so insidious about the idea of a company with its own agenda telling us to just trust a black box of a machine to do all of that for us.
November 14, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Gods, it's so pretty. I love the finish, I love the block inlays. Just fucking gorgeous~
November 13, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Of all the gigs for that to happen, of fucking course it's Jelly Roll lmao
November 13, 2025 at 1:05 AM
Yeah, I've already accepted that I'll be the youngest person at that gig. Though I do still have the back pain! Yay!~
November 13, 2025 at 12:48 AM
A 600MB patch for Hyrule Warriors is still far less than a 40GB download on Australian Internet lmao.

But yeah, it's more about just having "something" I guess. Like I'm just reminded that these things have an expiry date with key cards.
November 12, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Yeah, I mean. I'm pleasantly surprised every time I stick in a game card and it doesn't need an update lmao. But even then, I'm still usually playing the game in far less time than I would be if it were all digital :/
November 12, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Oh yeah, no. Agreed. Individual people are fallible and will 100% disappoint you, especially in politics. Community building, mutual aid and assistance, creating safe spaces? So much more important.
November 5, 2025 at 12:12 AM
I dunno, I think if folks are happy to return when that event's over, Epic can count on it not permanently harming its bottom line. WB can compensate for that.

Companies need to see a sharp, immediate, and permanent drop in players and revenue. Learn that platforming this shit is suicide.
