Yeah I could accept that take - it’s definitely not the worst thing they could have done. Just very strange and worth noting with everything else. Definitely still better than them revealing the game was made using AI assets at the least

Apologies for the long responses, I’m just trying to get my point across without seeming combative. At the end of the day, I concede that on its own this is not a very big deal. But I do feel it bears keeping in mind Nintendo’s history in general with how it handles engagement with their IP.

Yes. The copyright strikes are just an example. Cease and Desists on fan projects also bother me, though. My point being - this is not the first time they have tried to police fan engagement. It’s just a very strange way to handle it this time… especially when there *are* some obvious workarounds.

They started doling out copyright strikes a couple years back on various lets play/stream VODs of their games

This in combination with how content creation (streams/youtube videos) have been handled by Switch-era Nintendo have me very nervous for the way they will handle sharing content from their games in the future. It feels backwards to me, personally.

I agree that it’s a much smaller issue than many things you mentioned - it’s still anti-consumer though, so agree to disagree I guess. A small drop is still a drop and Nintendo’s practices as of the past decade have not really endeared me. I want to understand your position more, genuinely.

I try not to participate in discourse online, and while I understand your point, this is one more drop in an ever-growing bucket of anti-consumer practices Nintendo has been pushing. I don’t know if you know about their rules regarding content creators but that shit is wack too.

It’s funny to me seeing this because I remember reading so many times that “Metroid Prime isn’t a shooter it’s an ADVENTURE game” and it’s like honey…. A game can be both

Yeah I get you. The urge to over edit is real

I noticed this too but if it’s anything I never minded editing your voice because A. I had to edit my own and Sam’s uhs and ums plenty
B. It was easier than ums and uhs bc with those sometimes I would have to edit harder to make things sound natural. With the pauses it was not hard to shorten them

Both teams were great but bdg got me

Seeing this reminded me of parts of my childhood watching these I had forgotten. Made me tear up. I should really rewatch all of it. Still haven't seen Vengeance Most Fowl, so that's on the list too.

FFXI has easily kept the stories coming through the people I've met and the experiences I've had. Truly unforgettable and I've barely even done anything past base game.

Honestly just keep making videos you enjoy making and I'll keep watching when I can. Always nice to watch these.

DS3 took a lot of the right lessons from Bloodborne - even if I prefer BB personally. 3 felt cool to play with some really fantastic theming. Wild they made a game about how franchises should be allowed to die and then kept making more (not) Dark Souls games (and they're still good!)

This reads like it was written by the monk I was partied with in FFXI the other day who insisted that my partner and I duo-ing a large portion of the game was wrong because we have fun with it
Can't wait for this asker to find out about all reviewers ever

It wows me every day playing on Horizon how active the community is, and I've run into very few people with bad intent - most will go out of their way to help you if asked, and sometimes without you needing to ask. It IS a community. And I think that fits the spirit of XI to a T.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much enjoy retail, but it's definitely harder to make friends in it than it is on Horizon, and I've never been rescued by a stranger on retail because they're almost always high-level multi-boxers. I don't think that's wrong, it's just the state of the game now.
