For day 3 of the #AdventOfCocktails we have the Pantheon, which is two parts Scotch, one part Bénédictine, and one part lemon juice. This is really easy to riff on, with a swap from Scotch to gin proving very crowd-pleasing.

* 1 oz Campari
* 1 oz lemon juice
* 0.5 oz simple syrup
* 2 oz flaming Cognac
The recipe calls for chilling the glass and stirring the non-flaming ingredients with ice, but that feels like the worst way to do this.

Tortillas made with nixtamalized rye. Very interesting flavor (reminiscent of a pretzel in some ways) and decent texture.

If a book contains a cocktail recipe I have to make it (sorry, I don't make the rules.)
@jordanlhawk.bsky.social's Lion's Tail is 2 oz. bourbon, 0.5 oz. lime juice, 0.5 oz. allspice dram, 1 tsp. simple syrup, and a dash of Angostura bitters. Quite tasty, as is what I've read of the book.

Steak au Malört et Poivre is kind of okay. It's not as good as making it with Cognac, but the fat cuts through the bitterness and the herbal notes complement the pepper.
2/10, would not make again.
